-Reflections-

You can see a reflection in a mirror, in a lake, a simple puddle on the ground or in the glass as you walk down the street.  Everywhere you turn there is always the opportunity to see yourself as a reflection.  Yet we tend to view ourselves differently from everyone else, we give off different images of ourselves to our family, friends, enemies or people who do not know you at all!  

It is one of those times when you need to dig down deep and truly seek a true reflection of yourself and erase the distorted image that clouds your perception.  At times there are moments that all you to become one step closer to seeing your true reflection or even just a speck of it…small but drastically significant in the that one instance.  

I had a moment like that this evening.  A single moment where everything around me was clear, a moment where I knew myself a little better, a moment where I could say goodbye to my past and feel a forward pull into my future.  It was quite astonishing when I could feel completely at peace after the initial awe and shock of the moment ceased.  It began with an encounter from my past.  One that I was unaware of and to be honest felt a bit weird and awkward…if that isn’t the story of my life.  But you know what I felt nothing at all, maybe a bit perplexed and almost amused at the fact that things happen for a reason and I felt totally okay with the decisions I have made! I realized that I’m moving forward so quickly and my future is the number one important thing besides my family and close friends, compared to those who need a bit more maturing to do and figure out their lives.

Some might reflect and believe they are truly grown up and know what they want but actions speak louder than words.  Prove to not me or anyone else but prove to yourself because those who can’t see are blinded and will not see the correct reflection of themselves.  Some say they have changed but I don’t believe that, if you have made the same naive and immature mistakes then you are not maturing but only regressing back.   It is tainted and when those figure out their path then they shall be able to progress! Only time and energy can dictate your future and provide an extremely significant opportunity to find self reflection without looking into a mirror.
